James Wallin

James "Buffy" A. Wallin, age 65, of Atwater, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday evening, November 12, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M., Wednesday, November 19, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Atwater. Interment will be in the spring at Union Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Atwater Funeral Home.
James Allen Wallin "Buffy" was born July 4, 1949 in Willmar, Minnesota to Oliver and Joyce (Bethke) Wallin. He grew up and received his education in the schools in Willmar and Atwater, Minnesota. On May 31, 1969 he married Shirley Norbie at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Atwater. Jim and Shirley made their home in Atwater and raised their children Krista and Corey in Atwater. He worked for many years at Holm Brothers in Atwater, he later was employed for many years at Arnolds in Litchfield and was currently was working at Haug Implement in Litchfield. Jim enjoyed the small things in life especially working on anything Case IH until he saw the light and John Deere green was his new love in life. But most of all loved spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving is his wife, Shirley Wallin of Atwater; children, Krista Wallin of Atwater and Corey (and Christine) of Sauk Rapids, one brother, Dennis Wallin of Dassel and one sister, Karen (and Dan) Peterson of Millry, Alabama. Also surviving are uncles and aunts; Everett and Phyllis Wallin and Rocky and Irene Wallin and many nieces and nephews, besides other relatives and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; Ollie and Joyce Wallin, grandparents, Herbert and Emma Bethke, Otto and Aida Wallin and sister in law, Judy Wallin.
Jim "Buffy" will be missed greatly missed by all who loved him, mostly his family and friends and especially his Haug family.
