Marcy Swanson

Marcy L. Swanson, age 68, of Willmar passed away unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 28.

A private celebration of life service will be held at the Willmar Bible Church with interment at Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. www.petersonbrothers.com

Marcia "Marcy" Lucille Swanson was born on July 7, 1952, in Cyrus, Minnesota, the daughter of Marcus and Wilhelmina (VanEps) Noordmans. She grew up in Cyrus, graduated from Cyrus High School in 1970 and attended the Willmar Vo-Tech. She worked for many years at Willmar Electric and Sherman Williams as an interior design consultant. In 2002, Marcy was married to Bruce Swanson, and they made their home in Willmar. She was a member of the Willmar Bible Church. Marcy enjoyed photography and knitting. She was a woman of strong faith.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Swanson; three children, Miki Lu (and Nathan) Peters of Minneapolis, Josiah Gustafson of Minneapolis and Angela (and Phil) Gangnon of Big Lake; eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Also surviving is one brother, Duane (and Alvina) Noordmans of Willmar and Teri (and Marvin) Asche of Raymond; and a sister-in-law, Becky (and Ken) Price of New London, WI., besides other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jeffrey Noordmans.
