Timothy Brian Lane was born on April 4, 1969 in Willmar, Minnesota, the son of Gary and Diane (Onberg) Lane.  He grew up in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1987.  Early on, Timothy attended Zion Free Lutheran Church and his faith in Jesus Christ was important to him.  He attended the Free Lutheran Bible College in Plymouth, then returned to Willmar.

Tim started working in the grocery business at Red Owl Foods as a teen in the work study program at school.  His duties changed over the years as he transferred to the Hutchinson and Forest Lake stores, before returning as a grocery manager at Jahnke Foods in Spicer and later at the Handi-Stop service station in Willmar.

In 1976, Tim was diagnosed with diabetes, and he dealt with various health issues since 2000.  While in good health, Tim enjoyed waterfowl hunting, fishing and golfing.  More recently his interests included fantasy sports leagues and video gaming with friends.

He is survived by his father, Gary (and Lola) Lane of Apache Junction, Arizona and two sisters, Kari (and Darrell) Haugen of Binford, North Dakota and Billie Jo Lane of Willmar besides other relatives and friends, including his best friend, Joel Felton and his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane in 2018.
