Adam Michael Sasse, 32, of Willmar, died on Saturday, January 1.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Thursday, January 6, at Crossroads Community United Methodist Church in Spicer. Visitation will be 5-7 P.M. Wednesday, January 5, at Peterson Brothers Green Lake Funeral Home in Spicer and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Adam was born September 28, 1978, in Willmar, to Michael and Laurel (Hoagland) Sasse. He grew up in Willmar, was baptized at Bethel Lutheran Church and attended Willmar and New London-Spicer schools. He worked for several years for the family-owned business with his sister, Sara, and brother-in-law, Chris. On December 20, 2004, he married Stephanie Oveson. For the past several years, Adam worked as an arborist for Crow's Nest Tree Service. He was athletic and loved being outdoors. He took pride in being "the monkey in the tree." He took even more pride in his family, loved them with all his heart and was an amazing dad. He had a way of making everyone in his life feel special.
He is survived by his wife: Stephanie; five children: Trey, Kalle, Diamante, Daunte, and Talon; his parents: Michael (and Kathryn) Sasse and Laurel (and Roger) Johnson, both of Spicer; two brothers: Eric Sasse (and special friend, Shera Odland) and his children, Dasan & Eryn, of Willmar and Adam (and Debra) Hoffer and his child, London of Sandpoint, ID; two sisters: Sara (and Chris) Lester of Willmar and Alexandra (and Ryan) Peterson and her children, Aiden & Neela, of Pennock; his grandparents: Marlen & Nadine Sasse of Backus and Bonnie Hoagland of Sun City West, AZ; his wife's parents: Karen & Tom Hood of New London and Earl Ziehl of Raymond; a sister-in-law: Elisha Ziehl and her children, Josiah, Moriah, Elijah and Asteriah; several aunts & uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather: Reinhard Hoagland and his special great-grandmother: Hilda Hoagland.
