Adeline A. Yungk, age 95, of Atwater, died Thursday evening, October 11, at Bethesda Pleasantview Nursing Home in Willmar.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 15, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Atwater with Rev. Grant O. Fischer officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the Atwater Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Adeline Anna Yungk was born September 29, 1912, in rural Atwater, Minnesota, the daughter of August and Elsie (Senechal) Behm. She grew up in the rural Atwater community and was baptized, confirmed and attended parochial school at St. John Lutheran Church in rural Atwater. On December 22, 1935, she married Ervin Yungk at St. John Lutheran Church. They lived and farm in rural Atwater until 1974, when they retired and moved into Atwater. In 2003, Adeline moved to Bethesda Pleasantview. She was a member of the Atwater Threshers, a former member of St. John Lutheran Church and a current member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She enjoyed flower gardens.
Adeline is survived by two sons, Dale (and Elaine) Yungk of Litchfield and Loren Yungk of Atwater; a daughter, Carol (and Dallis) Ringler of Atwater; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ervin in 1984; a brother, Walter Behm and a sister, Lydia Dahlen.
