Adrian Donna Lou Day

Adrian Donna Lou Day, age 94, of Raymond, passed away Tuesday morning, Oct. 1, at the Bethesda Grand Nursing Home in Willmar.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, October 7, at the Bethesda Grand Chapel in Willmar. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Raymond. Arrangements by Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.  www.petersonbrothers.com

Adrian was born on April 1, 1930, near Wood Lake, Minnesota, the daughter of Robert and Huldah (Doose) Henke. She grew up in the Redwood Falls community, was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1947. Following high school, she began working in sales. 

 On June 7, 1950, Adrian was united in marriage to Royce W. Day and made their home in Raymond in 1956. She worked for many years as the librarian at the Raymond Public Library, retiring in 1999. Royce passed away in 2014, and later that year, Adrian moved into Bethesda Grand in Willmar.

 Adrian was a member of the Raymond United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, a former Cub Scout Leader and past Raymond City Council member.

 Adrian enjoyed art, painting, flowers and reading. Her family was the most important to her and she cherished all the times spent together on Lake Florida.

 She is survived by four children, David (and Cecile) Day of Raymond, Nancy (and Dennis) Endres of Willmar, Dean Day of Belview and April (and Christopher) Eisenberg of Champlin; fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter and a daughter-in-law, Michelle Day of New London, besides other relatives and friends.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Royce; one son, Duane; three sisters, Donna Lou, Lucella and Ardella; and one brother, William.
