Alice Louise Jacobson, age 77, of Sunburg, died unexpectedly Sunday evening, Nov. 18, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, at Hope Lutheran Church in Sunburg. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Alice was born on July 22, 1935, in Martin County, Minnesota, the daughter of Anthony and Helen (Deleske) Harder. She grew up on a farm near Monson Lake and graduated from Kerkhoven High School in 1955. On July 20, 1957, Alice was married to Raymond R. Jacobson and they made their home in the Sunburg community. She was employed at the Sunburg Locker Plant and Sunburg Cafe. Alice was later self-employed for many years as a daycare provider in Sunburg. She was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church and served as a custodian with her husband, Raymond for many years. Her hobbies included gardening, flowers and watching and feeding the birds.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond of Sunburg; two children, Verna Jean (and Rick) Kinzler of Snow Hill, NC., and Paul (and Renae) Jacobson of Raymond; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, John (and Donna) Harder of Benson and a sister, Janet (and Steve) Boomgaarden of Rosemont, besides other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
