Allen D. Erickson, age 85, of Willmar, died Thursday morning, November 8, at Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Monday, November 12, at First Baptist Church in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the Rice Hospice Sentimental Journey Program. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.
Allen Dean Erickson was born October 22, 1927, in Windom, Minnesota. He was a small business owner in Willmar until his retirement in 1981. He enjoyed his retirement, traveling and living in Mesa, Arizona with his wife, Betty.
Allen is survived by his wife, Betty of Willmar; six children, Michael and Linda Erickson, Joanne and Clark Brandt, Kevin Erickson, Linda and Michael Dahlen, Laurie and Bruce Paulson, and Sue Pederson; two sons-in-law, Eldon Moon and Stuart Ness; a brother, Merv (and Mary) Erickson; and a sister, Avis Nerhus. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Alice Erickson; wife, Shirley; and two daughters, Jacqueline Moon and Lois Ness.
