Anastacio Ramirez, Jr

Anastacio Ramirez Jr., age 58, of Willmar, died Wednesday afternoon, June 15, at his residence in Willmar.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, at the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. www.petersonbrothers.com

Anastacio Ramirez Jr. was born on August 10, 1957, in Brownsville, Texas, the son of Anastacio and Petra Ramirez Sr. He grew up and received his education in Brownsville, Texas. On January 21, 1976, Anastacio was married to Eva Garza and they made their home in Texas. In 1987, they moved to Willmar. He has been employed all his life in janitorial services, working at Bethesda Heritage Nursing Home, Kandiyohi County Courthouse, Skylark Mall and the Kandi-Mall. Most recently he has been a janitorial supervisor at J.C. Penny, Home Depot, Best Buy and Verizon in Willmar. Anastacio attended the Church of St. Mary. He enjoyed trips to the casino, taking his grandchildren to the park and just being with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Eva of Willmar; eight children, Anastacio III (and Patrick) Ramirez, Veronica Ramirez, Ernesto (and Ashley) Ramirez, Alejandro (and Sarah) Ramirez, Graciela Munoz (and Roberto) Castellanos, Rosalinda (and Luis) Ramirez, Banessa Ramirez and Maria Guadulupe (and Miguel) Ramirez; and twenty two grandchildren. Also surviving are ten siblings, Bertha Garcia, Delia Hernandez, Tomas Valladarez, Juanita Ramos, Josefina Juarez, Maria de la Luz Salazar, Leticia Gomez, Jose Ramirez, Martin Ramirez and Maria Luisa Hinojosa, besides other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Roberto Ramirez; one brother-in-law & best friend, Juan Lozano and one sister-in-law, Aurora Cortez.
