Angie (Rodriguez) Morales, age 49, of Willmar, passed away Monday evening, June 22, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, at the Assembly of God Church in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at a later date at Calvary Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. www.petersonbrothers.com
Angelica “Angie” (Rodriguez) Morales was born on October 8, 1970, in Pharr, Texas, the daughter of David and San Juanita (Barboza) Rodriguez. She grew up in Alamo, Texas and graduated high school in Toledo, Ohio. In 1994, Angie moved to Willmar and became employed at Jennie-O Foods. She later attended Ridgewater College and became employed by Heartland Community Action working with the head start program and later as a social worker with the Salvation Army and Safe Avenues in Willmar. Angie will be remembered as a hard worker. She enjoyed arts and crafts, watching her nieces and nephews sporting events and being with her family and friends.
She is survived by five children, Wendy Hernandez, Troy Hernandez (and Amber Arndt), Brandy Rodriguez (and Luis Bazaldua), Ryan Morales (and Crystal Soto) and Emily Morales, all of Willmar; twelve grandchildren; her parents, David of Alamo, TX and San Juanita Rodriguez of Willmar; two sisters, Mary Ann (and Pedro) Ordonez and Michelle (and Omar) Medina, both of Willmar and Felipe (and Kristine) Rodriguez, all of Willmar, besides other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and two brothers, David and Juan.
