Anna P. Bares, age 80, of Willmar, died Saturday evening, November 11, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Willmar with Fr. Joseph Steinbeisser officiating. Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service at the church. There will be no reviewal. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.
Anna Paulina Bares was born November 29, 1925 in Minneapolis, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Hegney) Bares. She grew up and received her education in the Minneapolis community. She later resided at the Faribault State Hospital. In 1970, she moved to Willmar and has resided in Presbyterian Family Foundation homes since that time. She worked at the Atwater Post Office through the Atwater DAC. She was currently in Senior Care at the DAC.
Anna will be remembered as a loving and caring person. She was a "social butterfly" and enjoyed spending time with her many friends. She was always happy. She appreciated the care she received from staff. She enjoyed dancing at the Thursday evening dances and singing, especially Christmas carols.
She is survived by five nieces, Barbara Tangen of Hastings, Marian Williams of Brooklyn Park, Diane (and Timothy) Nelson of Henry, South Dakota, Deborah (and David) Palmer of Brooklyn Park and Eva (and Darryl) Wick of Rosemount; a nephew, Richard (and Evelyn) Venesky of Olympia, Washington; 14 great nieces and nephews; 16 great-great nieces and nephews and her loving friends and staff.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joseph and Alois and a sister, Frances.
