Anna Beecroft, age 69, of Willmar, died Monday evening, February 13, at Bethesda Grand Nursing Home in Willmar.
Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Friday, February 17, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
Anna Marie Beecroft was born in 1947 in Willmar, Minnesota, the daughter of Bernard and Ida (Collier) Brown. She grew up and received her education in Olivia, graduating from Olivia High School in 1965. In 1968, she married Gerald Nass in Olivia, MN and their marriage was blessed with two daughters. They lived in Hutchinson and Hoyt Lakes. Anna later moved to Willmar and attended Willmar Community College obtaining her AA degree in chemical dependency counseling. She worked as a counselor at Kandiyohi County Boys' Group Home until her retirement. In 1997, she married Bill Beecroft. Anna most recently resided at Bethesda Grand in Willmar.
Anna was a member of the Refuge Church in Willmar, where she was involved in the women's groups, book club and Bible studies, She also volunteered at the gift shop at Bethesda. Anna enjoyed cross-stitch, coloring, bird watching, playing with her cats, reading her Bible, listening to music and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters, Darcie (and Jeff) Peters of Sycamore, IL and Tara (and Jamie) Gades of Grove City, MN; six grandchildren, Gabe, Elijah, Levi, Katlyn, Hayden and Riley; three brothers, Darrell "Tom" (and Jan) Brown of Eugene, OR, Patrick (and Mary) Brown of Minot, ND, David (and Candice) Brown of New Ulm, MN; four sisters, Maxine (and Michael) Schmit of New London, MN, Barbara Lampher of Olivia, MN, Marian (and John) Gartner of Alamonte Springs, FL, and Bridget (and Perry) Lemke of Willmar, MN; two sisters-in-law, Maria Brown of Georgetown, TX, and Judy Brown of Big Lake, MN; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Paul Brown, Bernard Brown, Jr., and Elmer Brown; and a brother-in-law, George "Barney" Lampher.
