Antonio Garcia, age 89, of Willmar, died Sunday morning, June 19, at Bethesda Heritage Center Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 21, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. Burial will be in Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery in Willmar. Visitation will be 4-7 P.M. Tuesday at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.
Antonio Garcia was born February 18, 1922, in El Paso,Texas, the son of Jesus and Filomena (Gonzales) Garcia. On September 14, 1946, he married Alicia Flores and they made their home in Chihuahua, Mexico. In 1974, they moved to El Paso, Texas, where Antonio worked on a cattle ranch. Antonio enjoyed caring for the cows, horses and goats on his ranch. In March 2006, they moved to Willmar to be near family. Antonio was a member of Templo Emanuel Evangelical Free Church in Willmar.
He is survived by four sons, Luis Antonio (and Irene) Ibarra of Chihuahua, Mexico, Eduardo (and Yolanda) .Ibarra of Willmar, Armando (and Aurora) Ibarra of Chihuahua, Mexico and Jose Guadalupe (and Ramona) Ibarra of Granite Falls and one daughter, Romelia (and Jose) Manquero of Juarez, Mexico. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ruben; and a daughter, Luz Elena.
