Arthur Griffin

Arthur Gene Griffin passed away Friday August 16, 2019 at St. Otto’s Care Center, Little Falls, MN at the age of 85 with is son Todd by his side.

Arthur was born October 19, 1933 in Murray County, Minnesota where he farmed until 1985. He then moved to Willmar and worked at Tom’s Nursery in Spicer. He married his love Deloras "Dee" Hagberg on August 27, 1995 and remained living in Willmar.

Arthur loved working with his hands either building wood projects or digging in the dirt at Tom’s. He and Dee were active at the Willmar Community Center, travelled and competed in Square Dancing.

He is survived by his three sons, Todd (and Julie) Griffin of Rice, Michael Griffin of Tyler and Darin Griffin of Clarkfield; one grandson, Anthony (and Asuncion) Griffin of Maple Grove; four sisters, Mary (and Roland) Hunter of North Las Vegas, NV, Edith Halstead of Albany, OR, Iris Bueoy of Long Beach, CA and Margie (and Stan) Veld of Parker, AZ; Dee’s children, Victoria (and Keith) Sandberg of Granite Falls, Kirk Hagberg of Bellevue, NE, Mark (and Teresia) Hagberg of Amarillo, TX, and Cindy (and Clark) Agnew of Lubbock, TX; many nieces and nephews; and other cousins and relatives.

He is preceded in death by his Beloved wife, Deloras "Dee" Griffin in 2017; by his parents, James Griffin, Sr. and Rudy (Millis) Griffin; two brothers, James "Jimmy" Griffin, Jr. of Kansas and Ronald "Ronny" Griffin of Edgerton; and an infant sister.

In honoring Arthur’s wish’s there will be a private interment at Sparta Cemetery on September 21st at 1:00 pm.
