Arthur Reigstad Jr

Arthur S. Reigstad, Jr. age 81, of Willmar, died Tuesday morning, October 27, at the Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar.
Services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Friday, October 30, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Willmar. Military Honors will be provided by the Austin F. Hanscom American Legion Post 0167 of Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. (www.petersonbrothers.com)
Arthur Sanford Reigstad, Jr. was born on May 29, 1934 in Willmar, Minnesota, the son of Goldie G. (Gabel) and Arthur S. Reigstad, Sr. He grew up in Willmar and received his education here. Arthur joined the Army and served about four years in Germany before returning to Willmar following his discharge. In 1960, he was married to Ellma Mae Piipke , they made their home in Willmar and he worked for Jennie-O Foods. In 1972, he was united in marriage to Florence Chara Reed and they lived in Willmar. He continued to work for Jennie-O Foods until his retirement after 42 years, at the age of 72. Arthur was a simple man with simple needs, he enjoyed fishing, music, going to Jackpot Juntion and going to McDonald's for breakfast.
He is survived by four sons; David Reigstad, John Reigstad, William (and Alicia) Reed of Farmington and Darren Reigstad and fiancé Adrian Roberts of St. Cloud. Also surviving are four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two brothers; Gary Reigstad of Watkins and Roger (and Carol) Reigstad of Willmar, three sisters; Margi Henderson of Jacksonville, Florida, Gloria McDougall of Coon Rapids and Barbara Wehwein of Elk River.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, wife Florence in 1999, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
