Ashley J. Rieck, age 18, of Willmar, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, September 26.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, at the Assembly of God Church in Willmar. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30 at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Ashley Jacquelyn Rieck was born to Robert and Cozanne (Cain) Rieck on May 29, 1997, in Willmar. She attended school in Willmar and New London-Spicer. She received her Associate of Arts Degree from Ridgewater College on May 15, 2015, before receiving her high school diploma at Willmar Senior High School on May 31, 2015.  Ashley was accepted into the Registered Nursing Program at Ridgewater College, starting next spring and was currently attending Ridgewater College with her sister, Alexa. Ashley was a hard working girl and was very determined in everything she did.  She was employed at Ruffs as a server and at Rice Care Center as a Certified Nursing Assistant.  Ashley loved the residents and had a caring heart. She went out of her way to make their lives better. On one occasion, she went out and bought supplies for the residents to make fruit pizza for Easter. She also purchased clothes for a resident who was in need. Ashley previously worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken, where her mother is the manager.  Ashley loved her family and extended family very much. She had a very close relationship with her sisters. Ashley loved her pets, especially her new puppy Coty that she brought home without her parents knowing.  She also had a passion for dance, volleyball, and track and field. Ashley was dedicated to the Lord at the Evangelical Free Church in Willmar.

She is survived by her parents: Robert and Cozanne Rieck; four sisters: Alexa, Kendra,  Kristen and Katelyn Rieck all of Willmar; grandparents: William and Jacquelyn Cain of Willmar, Ronald Rieck of Aberdeen, SD, Eileen Kenny of Aberdeen, SD, Bob Tople of Friedrick, SD, and Doris Bradtke of Aberdeen, SD;  great-grandparents: Billie and Donna Mae (Flann) Scott of Lake Lillian;  aunts: Angela (Cain) Deitschman and Mike, Jessica Cain and special friend Jesse Atkinson  , Amber and special friend Paul Nelson, Amy Tracheaen and Daniel; uncles: Dustin Kimball and special friend  Jennifer  Leadens , Justin Rieck and Karen,  Christopher Rieck; cousins: Natasha Deitschman and special friend Aaron Bartels,  Brandon Deitschman, Tori Deitschman , Jasmine Cain, Kailey Cain, Keziah Cain, Jayshawn Cain-Corley , Eli Cain, Cayden Deitschman, Quintin Bartels, Tyler Rieck, Trevor Rieck, Loralei Rieck, Cordelia Rieck, Matthew Rieck, Taylor Plainbull, Dayton Kimball, Sawyer Kimball, Austin Kimball,  Aiden Rieck, and Sebastian Rieck; along with other extended family and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her uncle: Ronald Rieck Jr.

Ashley will be missed by her family and friends, and co-workers.
