Beatrice "Bea" Ann Olson, age 73, of Willmar, died Monday morning, September 10, at Bethesda Pleasant View Nursing Home in Willmar.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 13, at Eagle Lake Lutheran Church in Willmar. Interment will be at Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery in Willmar. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church. (www.petersonbrothers.com)
Beatrice "Bea" Ann Olson was born March 31, 1939, on the family farm in Raymond, Minnesota, to Henry and Grace (Fischer) Sietsema. She was baptized and confirmed at the Raymond Methodist Church. After graduating from Raymond High School in 1957, she worked at the West Central Tribune and then at First National Bank in Willmar. On September 2, 1961, she married Charles R. Olson. They went on to have two children and made their home in Willmar. In their later years, they enjoyed traveling all over the United States and spending time with grandchildren.
Beatrice is survived by her husband: Charles R. Olson; two children: Todd (and Charlene) Olson of Sunburg and Jodi (and Neil) Radermacher of Eagan; six grandchildren: Scott (and Jennifer) Knudson, Amanda (and Ryan) Schlegel, Nathan Olson, Brett Olson, Breanna Radermacher and Brady Radermacher; and three great-grandchildren: Sander Knudson, Jaya Knudson and Carly Jean Schlegel. She also leaves behind two brothers: Russell Sietsema of Raymond and Kenny (and Arlene) Sietsema of Northfield; four sisters: Esther Gilsrud of Raymond, Alice Sietsema of St. Cloud, Lyla (and Lee) Kapsner of Princeton and Marlene (and Marvin) Noe of Sauk Centre; a sister-in-law: Nona (and Gary) Torbert of Hector; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Grace Sietsema; and a brother: Harvey Sietsema.
