Betty Flann

Betty M. Flann, age 90 of Willmar, died Thursday afternoon, November 2, at Bethesda Grand Nursing Home in Willmar.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 6, at the Assembly of God Church in Willmar. Interment will be at the Lake Lillian Community Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar, www.petersonbrothers.com.

Betty Marie Flann was born on November 14, 1926, in Lake Lillian to Arthur and Amy (Lundahl) Sundin. She grew up in the Lake Lillian area and graduated from Willmar High School in 1944.

In 1945, she married Burton Flann. She was a homemaker and mother to their four children. She taught Sunday School and participated in music and women's activities at Grace Lutheran Church until 1991 when they moved to Willmar. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by her children, Larry (and Nancy) Flann of Arizona, Charles (and Mariam) Flann of Bemidji, Marcia (and Paul) Dekoski of Florida, and Robert Flann of Willmar; her 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; her brother, Dennis Sundin; and her sister, Shirley Ulstrom.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Burton; three brothers, Paul, Gordon and James Sundin; and a sister, Jewelle Tazelaar.
