Betty Larson

Betty J. Larson, age 76, of Willmar, died Friday morning, April 22, at Rice Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. A private funeral will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Rice Hospice are preferred.

Betty Jane Larson was born on October 29, 1939, in Willmar, Minnesota, the daughter of Fred and Inez (Franzen) Isaacson. She grew up in Willmar and received her education in the Willmar Public Schools, graduating from WHS in 1957. She attended the Willmar Junior College and the University of Minnesota. In 1961, Betty was united in marriage to Richard A. Larson in Willmar. They were blessed with two sons, David and Erik. Betty was employed at the Willmar Regional Treatment Center for 19 years as an Administrative Assistant. She was a member of Vinje Lutheran Church. Betty enjoyed riding MN bike trails and walking around Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis with Richard, golfing and reading.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard A. Larson of Willmar; two sons, David Larson of Chaska and Erik Larson of Minneapolis; and one sister, Marlys (and Charles L.) Olson of New London, besides other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
