Betty Palm

Betty L. Palm, age 82, of Willmar, died Saturday afternoon, Dec. 8, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday,, Dec. 14, at Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery in Willmar.  There is no reviewal or visitation.  Funeral arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.

Betty Lou Palm was born on June 21, 1936, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Myrtle (Wright) Butler.  At the age of four, her family moved to Willmar where Betty grew up and received her education.  Betty worked for many years as a nurses aide at Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar.  On June 23, 1978, Betty was united in marriage to Ellsworth Gale Palm and they made their home in Willmar and Minneapolis.  Betty worked part-time at Walmart in the café and they were the caretakers of the Guri Endreson Shrine north of Willmar for many years.  Betty was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Eagle’s Club.  She enjoyed gardening and had a fond love for kids, cats and dogs.

She is survived by several cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ellsworth in 2005 and one son, Pat in the 1970’s.
