Beverly Swanson, age 75, of Spicer, died Monday, December 4, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 8, at the Church of Our Lady of the Lakes in Spicer. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Beverly Kay Swanson was born December 8, 1941, in Maple Lake, Minnesota, the daughter of Donald and Glorene (Klemz) Swanson. She attended school in Monticello graduated as the valedictorian in 1959. She then lived in St. Cloud, where she worked for an optometrist and at a comic book store. For the past 44 years, she has lived in Spicer at the Beachwood Homes and later at Fourth Avenue Homes. While living in Spicer, Beverly worked for Chelsey's, the Little Safari, West Central Industries, and the Cazador Inn.
Beverly was strong in her faith and enjoyed attending church at Our Lady of the Lakes. She also enjoyed rummage sales, walking, visiting with friends, and watching TV, especially the Waltons and game shows.
Beverly is survived by a sister, Roxanne Dahlbeck of Buffalo, MN; four nieces; and her friends at Fourth Avenue Homes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother.
