Bobby Poe Sr.

Bobby Gene Poe Sr. passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Bethesda Grand Nursing Home in Willmar, MN at the age of 89.

Bobby Gene Poe, Sr. was born on July 30, 1931 to Eulah (Rodgers) and Robert Elmer Poe in Pocahontas, AR.  He married Patsy Faye Barnett on August 4, 1951.  Bobby retired after 38 years of employment at Sundstrand Aviation in Rockford, IL to spend time with his wife who was developing Alzheimer disease. They spent many years enjoying travel and family. He enjoyed Gospel quartet singing, golfing and playing checkers. He will be remembered for his kind nature, devotion to his wife and living everyday as it was the best one ever. His highest calling was his commitment to serving his Lord Jesus.

Bobby is survived by his two children, Bob (Kris) Poe Jr. and Pama (Dan) Olson; four grandchildren, Bob (Ann) Poe III, Derek (Karin) Olson, Shelli Poe (Jody Walker), and Dana (Derrick) Ross; eleven great-grandchildren: Allison, Samantha & Bobby Poe IV, Henry & Ray Walker and Sophia Poe-Walker, Madison, Kennedy, & Lincoln Ross and Henry & Francine Olson; sister Betty Womble and brother Billy Poe; and many nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sisters Bernice Billips & Opal Snow, and brother Elmer Poe.
