Bradley Luther "Barley" Carlson, age 60, of Franklin, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, Feb. 25, near his home in Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 2, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home. Interment will be at Calvary Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Bradley was born on April 11, 1948, in Willmar, Minnesota, the son of Charles and Marjorie (Thorson) Carlson. He grew up in the Willmar and Atwater communities and graduated from Atwater High School in 1966. On June 30, 1970, Bradley was married to Suzette Knaus. They made their home in Kimball and he was employed at Anderson Trucking in St. Cloud. He later became self-employed as an OTR truck driver. They divorced in 1992 and Bradley has since lived throughout the Kandiyohi County area. He enjoyed music, motorcycles, trips to "Vegas", working "out west" and his beloved cat, Rucky.
He is survived by his children, Brad (and Brenda) Carlson of Sartell, Tanya (and Tim) Dickie of Buffalo, Luke Carlson of Kimball and Olivia (and Jeff) May of New Prague; and grandchildren, Justin, Logan and Brandan Carlson, Jada, Carson and Blake Dickie, and Baby May. Also surviving is his mother, Marjorie Carlson (and Leo Gruber) of Willmar, besides other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother, David Carlson.
