Bradley Tallakson, age 59, of Spicer, died Friday morning, November 1, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Visitation for Bradley will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, November 8, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.  Interment will be at Cloverleaf Cemetery in Willmar at a later date.

Bradley Wayne Tallakson was born July 1, 1960, in Willmar, Minnesota, the son of Irwin and Byrma (Johnson) Tallakson.  He graduated from Willmar High School in 1978.  He attended the Willmar Vo-Tech for a short time before joining his brother, Jerry Tallakson, as a machinist in Hamel, Minnesota.  Later, they moved the business to Willmar and called it M.T. M. Inc.   Several years later, Brad started working for Ryan Eckhoff as a machinist and continued to work for Eckhoff's Custom Machining until the time of his death.

On September 17, 1983, Brad married Mary Sundquist in Willmarand they had two daughters, Ashley and Anissa.

Brad enjoyed playing and watching hockey, snowmobiling, playing softball, and fishing.  He also enjoyed planes and attending airshows, and spending time with his dogs and Anissa’s huskies.

He is survived by two daughters: Ashley Tallakson (and Michael Malvin) of Willmar, and Anissa Tallakson (and Jeremy Elkjer) of New London; a brother: Gerald Tallakson of Spicer; a sister: Wendy (and Richard) Olson of Willmar; a sister-in-law: Pat (and Marlow) Erdman of Midlothian, TX; his former wife: Mary Tallakson of Willmar; and his mother-in-law: Hazel Sunquist of Willmar.  Also surviving are his sisters-in-law: Lynnette Sundquist of St. Cloud; Lee (and Jan) Glinvad of Denmark, and Karen Auer of Hutchinson; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his mother: Byrma in September 2016; his father, Irwin in September 2019; a brother, Gary in 1969; and his dog, Curly.
