Brian C. Larson, age 42, of Willmar, died Friday morning, March 23, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 30, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery with military honors provided by the Willmar American Legion Post #167, V.F.W. Post #1639 and Minnesota Patriot Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.
Brian Curtis Larson was born on February 17, 1970, in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, the son of Bruce and Barbara (Meidinger) Larson. He was baptized at Oak Grove Lutheran Church in Richfield and graduated from Willmar High School in 1988. Brian enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in Desert Storm aboard the U.S.S. Cape Cod and finished his military service in the Minnesota National Guard. On June 5, 1993, Brian was united in marriage to Karla Johnson and they later divorced. He lived in Willmar where he was employed at Liberty Tax service and most recently at Mycogen Seed in Olivia. Brian was a proud member of the V.F.W.
Brian was active in bowling league at Kandi Bowl. He was very patriotic and proud to have served his country in Desert Storm. Brian was a hard worker with an energetic sense of humor. He enjoyed music and was an avid sports fan of the Vikings, Twins and NASCAR. Brian's pride and joy were his two daughters, Ashley and Kallie.
He is survived by his two daughters, Ashley Larson of Hector and Kallie Larson of Buffalo Lake; his parents, Barbara Larson of Willmar and Bruce (and Connie) Larson of Arizona and three siblings, Todd Larson of Arizona, Matthew Larson (and fiance, Danielle George) of Willmar and Jessica (and Mark) Kells of Willmar, besides other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
