Bruce Luverne Kleinhuizen

Bruce L. Kleinhuizen, age 64, of Willmar, passed away Thursday evening, March 10, at Carris Health Rice Memorial Hospital following a courageous battle against cancer.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, at the Church of the Nazarene in Willmar.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22 and will also continue one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be at Holland Township Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.    www.petersonbrothers.com

Bruce Luverne Kleinhuizen was born on August 21, 1957, in Olivia, Minnesota, the son of Luverne and Beatrice (Ledeboer) Kleinhuizen.  He grew up in the Prinsburg community and graduated from Central Minnesota Christian School in 1975.  He was employed for the Willmar Taxi Service, Willmar Bus Service and recently worked installing fireplaces.

He is survived by his three sisters, Deb Kleinhuizen of Willmar, Julie (and Tim) Johnson of Kerkhoven and Carol Wells of St. Cloud; nieces and nephews, Sharon Rogers (Cyril, Isabelle and Aiden), Susan Calhoun (Mason and Lindsey), Aaron (and Nicki) Wells (Nora, Amelia and Oliver), Amber (and Andrew) Nielsen (Audrey and Conrad) and Adrien (and Katie) Wells, besides other relatives and friends.

He was welcomed to his heavenly home by his parents; grandparents; one sister, Diane; and many aunts and uncles.
