Bryan Craig Sietsema was born September 23, 1985, in Willmar, Minnesota, to Craig and Elaine (Anderson) Sietsema. He grew up on the farm near Atwater, spending summers at Diamond Lake. He graduated from ACGC High School in 2004.
Growing up Bryan competed in many pedal tractor pulls, played baseball and football, and wrestled. He loved spending summers at the lake waterskiing, wakeboarding, tubing, and fishing with family and friends. He raced snocross for more than 10 years and enjoyed many snowmobile trips with friends out west. He had an especially close relationship with his grandmother, Maggie, who taught him to hunt, and he treasured the memories of many hunting seasons shared with her growing up and later with his friends. He also enjoyed riding motorcycle and ATV, and was always the first in the group to try to make it through the mud or snow. Bryan was happiest whenever he was enjoying time spent with his family or friends.
Bryan was a self-taught graphic designer and ran his own business, StickerBoy Signs, for many years. He enjoyed the connection with his customers, and designing creative wraps for race cars and snowmobiles were his favorite projects. He was a member of the Atwater Fire Department for 7 years; he was proud to serve his community and enjoyed the camaraderie. Most recently he worked for Summit Fire Protection Services.
Bryan loved being a dad to Bret more than anything else. He was proud to share his love of snowmobiling, four-wheeling, fishing, and hunting with Bret. His greatest joy truly was his son.
Bryan and Sara had been together more than 10 years. They were married on August 31, 2018 and made their home near Kandiyohi. They enjoyed cooking together, camping, motorcycle trips, and watching snocross.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Bret; his wife, Sara; father, Craig Sietsema, sister, Shawna (and Jeff) Hanson; brother, David Sietsema; nephews: Ethan Hanson and Evan Hanson; nieces: Aydin Hanson, Avari Hanson, Elin Hanson, and Mila Sietsema; along with many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine Sietsema; and grandparents, Dale and Margaret (Maggie) Anderson, and Carole Sietsema.
