RAYMOND

Carlos C. Castillo, age 54, of Raymond, formerly of Willmar, died Tuesday evening, July 24th, at his home in Lone Tree Township following an extended illness.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, July 30th, at the Church of St. Mary with Fr. Brian L. Mandel officiating. The interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call form 5-8 P.M. Sunday at the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home and at the church one hour prior to the services. A Rosario/Prayer Service will be held at 7 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
Carlos Cisneros Castillo was born on September 13, 1952 in Las Cruses, Chihuahua, Mexico, the son of Guadalupe (Cisneros) and Merardo Castillo. He grew up and received his education in Mexico. In 1967, Carlos immigrated to the United States and moved around working and moved to Willmar in 1978. On March 13, 1980 he was married to Guadalupe Trevino in Willmar and they made their home in Willmar until 1985, when they moved to a farm near Raymond. Carlos was employed at Prinsco in Prinsburg until 2004, when he had to retire due to his health. For the past three years they have divided their time between Rochester, where Guadalupe worked, and Raymond. He loved being with his family, especially the grandchildren, and enjoyed gardening, doing landscaping and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe of rural Raymond, one son, Carlos Jr. (and Christina) Castillo of Willmar, three daughters; Aurora (and Travis McCleary) Castillo of Willmar, Lorena (and Darren) Lindemann of Willmar and Pamela Castillo of Raymond and five grandsons. Also surviving are three brothers; Ramon (and Marlene) Castillo of Willmar, Merardo (and Maria) Castillo of Dallas, Texas and Benito (and Letty) Castillo of Baja, California and six sisters; Irma (and Rojelio) Cordova of Las Cruses, Mexico, Candelaria (and Ramin) Garcia of Chihuahua, Mexico, Mary (and Fernando) Talamentes of Baja, California, Guadalupe Castillo of Guanajuato, Mexico, Rosa (and Enrique) Arredondo of Baja, California and Natalia (and Jose) Garza of Reynosa, Mexico, besides other relative and friends. Carlos was preceded in death by his parents.
