Carolyn Wolfe

September 10, 1941 — January 19, 2012

Carolyn Wolfe, 70, of Willmar, died Thursday, January 19, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Raymond. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, January 23, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Carolyn was born September 10, 1941, in Storden, Minnesota, the daughter of Clair and Eunice (Lien) Wolfe. She grew up and was baptized in Storden and graduated from Storden High School. In 1965, her family moved to Raymond. In 1969, she married Ronald Lush and they later divorced in 1981. Carolyn worked at Wonderalls in Willmar. She was also a den mother for her sons' Cub Scout Troop when they were young. Carolyn lived the past few years at the Highland Apartments in Willmar and most recently at Miriam Manor Assisted Living in Sunburg.

Carolyn enjoyed sewing and knitting and was an excellent seamstress. She was an excellent baker and always made birthday cakes for her family members. She also enjoyed word searches, playing card and board games and watching TV, especially game shows and Animal Planet. She was also a wonderful storyteller. Carolyn was very generous and sponsored several children in Africa.

She is survived by two sons: Douglas Wolfe of Raymond and Michael (and Renae) Lush of Dodge Center; two daughters: Sheri (and JR) Salinas of Willmar and Evonne Robbins (and Butch Bratsch) of Willmar; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a sister: LaDonna (and Jim) Davidson of Great Falls, MT; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother: Eugene.
