Charles W. Danielson, 89, of Atwater, died Tuesday morning, January 10, at Emmanuel Home in Litchfield.
The service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, January 14, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery in Atwater. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Charles was born June 20, 1922, in Lamson, Minnesota, to Adolph and Caroline (McLaughlin) Danielson. He grew up in Lamson and attended school there. After school, he did mostly farm work. In 1943, he was united in marriage to Violet Koepp. They raised nine children. Charles owned and operated his farm west of Atwater for 50 years until his health started failing. He spent the last eight years at Emmanuel Home in Litchfield.
He enjoyed visits from family, friends and relatives and especially from the great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife: Violet of Atwater; his children: Chuck Danielson of Atwater, Linda Pautzke of Willmar, Cathy (and Guenther) Anderson of West Springfield, MA, Jeff (and Rhonda) Danielson of Sanger, TX, Greg Danielson of Buffalo Lake, Tammy (and Randy) Kragenbring of Atwater, Tony (and Pebble) Danielson of Atwater and Jerry (and Carol) Danielson of Spicer; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; a brother: Dale Danielson of Arizona; two sisters: Elta Peterson of Aikin, Katherine Koepp of Blaine, and Madlyn Benson of Minneapolis; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter: Charlene Danielson; a grandson: Adam Danielson; two sisters and a brother.
