Connie Lee Ulferts (aka Key Carelli), age 56, of St. Paul and formerly of Willmar, died Wednesday afternoon, August 24, at the Meeker Manor in Litchfield.
A Celebration of Life to honor Connie will be from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday September 4, at the Log Cabin on the Kandiyohi County Fairgrounds in Willmar. A private interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Meeker Manor are preferred. Arrangements are with the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.
Connie Lee Ulferts was born on August 10, 1960, in Dawson, Minnesota, the daughter of Mike and Janice Ulferts. She grew up in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1978. She attended college at St. Cloud State and Thief River Falls Technical College. Connie was employed as a Radio Announcer in Mayville, North Dakota and later in Willmar and Litchfield. She was most recently employed at Comcast in St. Paul.
Connie always marched to her own beat. In doing so she changed her name to Key Carelli. Connie loved music, sports and vacationing. Her favorite place was Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. You always knew when she was in the room.
She is survived by her parents, Mike and Janice Ulferts of Willmar; three sisters, Christine (and Tracy) Bruns of Willmar, Cecilia Golden of Bloomington and Cathleen Ulferts of Lake Lillian and five nieces and nephews, Andrew Brower, Sean Chapin, Alex Chapin, Sam Stenson and Mady Stenson, besides other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
