Dalette "Dale" A. Schwalboski, age 71, of Spicer, passed away unexpectedly Saturday afternoon, August 26, at Centra Care Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. A celebration of Dale's life will be held on Sunday, October 8, from 12 noon to 4 PM at the Spicer American Legion. Memorials to honor Dale's life are strongly encouraged to the Dale Schwalboski scholarship fund. Dale was born on November 16, 1951, in Red Wing, Minnesota, the daughter of Dale and June (Plifka) Veith. She grew up in Red Wing, graduated from Red Wing High School in 1969 and then graduated from St. Cloud State College with a degree in business education. Dale began her teaching career in Willmar. On August 10, 1974, she was married to Ronald "Red" Schwalboski and they made their home in the Spicer community. Dale retired from the New London-Spicer School District in 2011, following 31 years of teaching. She enjoyed ALL of her students which called her Mrs. S. by name. Dale loved golfing and visiting the area casinos. She will be missed by many!
She is survived by her loving husband of over 49 years, Red; one daughter, Ronelle (and Chad) Jeseritz of Spicer; one granddaughter, Brylee; and one niece, Kris Sirinek, besides other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
