Daniel M. Suter, age 45, of rural Kandiyohi, died unexpected Tuesday evening, July 26.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 1, at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar. Burial will be at St. Bridget's Catholic Cemetery in DeGraff. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Suter Family Benefit Fund at the Kandiyohi Bank Office - Atwater State Bank, P.O. Box 338, Kandiyohi, MN 56251.
Dan was born on October 10, 1965, in Benson, Minnesota, the son of Alvin and Adeline (Iverson) Suter. He grew up in rural DeGraff community, graduated from Benson High School in 1984 and the Willmar Vo-Tech in 1986. On April 15, 1989, Dan was united in marriage to Gail Lynn Schueler. They made their home in Chanhassen where Dan was self-employed as a TV technician. In 2007, Dan and Gail adopted two children, Anna and Dmitry from an orphanage in Russia. Dan's family was the love of his life. For the last year and a half, he was employed by West Central Communications in Willmar.
Dan was known for his fun loving, easy going, caring personality. He was a hardworker with lots of patience and had a great sense of humor. His interests included snowmobiling, fishing and muscle cars, especially Mustangs and most of all being with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years: Gail Suter; his two children: Dmitry Suter and Anna Suter; his mother: Adeline Suter of Willmar; one sister: Linda (and Steven) Miller of Benson; one brother-in-law: Bill Frikken of Belgrade; besides other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father: Alvin Suter in 2008 and two sisters: Laurie in 2007 and Marcia in 1967.
