David Delfosse was born on May 9, 1979, in Clearwater, Florida, the son of Denise Wohnoutka. At the age of nine, he moved with his mother to the Spicer community and graduated from NL-S High School in 1998. Soon after high school, David met the love of his life, Karla Knapp and they made their home in Willmar. David began working for R & G Construction and since 2008, he has been employed with Duininck Construction and was currently the operations manager for their bridge construction division. David always thought of himself as a master griller and a manicured yard specialist. He loved all music, just NOT country. David had a great sense of humor, a heart of gold and could make anyone laugh. He enjoyed being with his family, especially his children and socials with his friends. David enjoyed watching football and was considered by many to be a “fair-weather” Vikings fan.
He is survived by his forever love, Karla; two children, Kaitlin and Camden; a sister, Jill (and Justin) Willprecht of Spicer; his grandmother, Diane Wohnoutka of Spicer; and Karla’s sister, Kaleen (and Kraig) Schroer of Willmar, besides other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Denise; his grandfather, Robert “Bob” Wohnoutka; a half brother, Shane Cecil and an uncle, Dave Wohnoutka.
