David "Harry" Harrison

June 24, 1947 — September 9, 2020

David “Harry” W. Harrison, age 73, of Willmar, passed away Wednesday evening, Sept. 9, at Carris Health Rice Care Center in Willmar.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. with a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home and visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church.  Arrangements by Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.  www.petersonbrothers.com

David Warren Harrison was born on June 24, 1947, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Warren and Winnefred (Olsson) Harrison.  He grew up in Little Falls and graduated from Little Falls High School in 1965.  David earned a degree in electrical engineering from Letourneau College in Longville, TX.  In 1972, he was married to Bernadette “Berni” Benusa and they made their home in Willmar.  David was employed at Willmar Manufacturing, AGCO and Douglas Machine in Alexandria.  He retired in 2009 due to health reasons.  He was an active member of the Church of St. Mary and served as a lector.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Lodge.  His hobbies included traveling, tent camping, reading, bowling, collecting stamps and attending art shows with Berni.  He was an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins and Vikings.  Harry will be best remembered for his good sense of humor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Berni of Willmar; three daughters, Kelora “Kellie” Harrison of Willmar, Ivy Harrison (and Joshua Jensen) of New Ulm, Andrea Harrison (and Chad Razink) of Clontarf; and five grandchildren, Himalaya, Theory, Henley, Scholar and Carson.  Also surviving is one brother, Paul (and Karen) Harrison of Castro Valley, CA., and one sister, Carol Robinson of Killeen, TX., besides other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Sid Robinson.
