Delphine Lindelle Olive Zinda, age 72, of Willmar, died Tuesday afternoon, June 29, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Monday, July 5, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home and will also continue one hour prior to the service.
Delphine was born April 15, 1938, in Willmar to George and Martha (Bauman) Olive. She grew up in Willmar, was baptized and confirmed at First Covenant Church and graduated from Willmar High School in 1957. On August 25, 1962, she married David Zinda. They lived in Alaska, Colorado and Kansas before moving to San Antonio, Texas. Delphine and David later divorced and she returned to Willmar in 1981. She worked for Molenaar Plastics in Willmar from 1983 until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary.
Delphine enjoyed finding bargains and antiques at garage sales, gardening, attending church activities and just being with her family and friends.
She is survived by one daughter, Deborah (and Dwight) Petersen of Willmar; two sons, Gary (and Evelyn) Zinda and Timothy Zinda, both of San Antonio, TX; three grandchildren, Olivia Petersen and Kaitlyn and Kassidy Zinda; besides other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Merlin Olive.
