Dennis Burns-Richardson

Dennis E. Richardson, age 44, of Willmar, died Wednesday, April 27, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 3:30 PM, Saturday, April 30, at Eagle Lake Lutheran Church in Willmar. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Friday, April 29, at the church and will continue one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.

Dennis Eugene Burns-Richardson was born May 17, 1966, in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Theresa Victoria (Burns) Flatgard. He was baptized in 1979 at the 7th Adventist Church in Windom. He later moved to Worthington and graduated from Worthington High School in 1984. In 1985, he married Deborah Hamblin in Worthington. They made their home in Worthington and Dennis worked at the Swift Company. In 1990, he married Jodie Clark. They lived in Marshall and Dennis worked at B.H. Electronics. In 1994, Dennis moved to Willmar. He worked at Pulsifer Construction, Aspen Trailers in Litchfield and for the past five years as a production supervisor at Jennie-O Turkey Store. He enjoyed working on cars and computers. He also enjoyed playing cards and going dancing.

He is survived by his fiance, Jackie Zenker of Willmar; a son, Dennis Richardson of Winona; two daughters, Latoya Richardson of Rochester and Chelsea Mitzner of Scottsdale, WA; three stepdaughters, Jamie, Jasalyn and Janessa Zenker, all of Willmar; and six grandchildren. Also surviving are his mother, Theresa Flatgard of Willmar; two brothers, David Richardson of Montevideo and Robert (and Cynthia) Richardson of Moose Lake; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John in 2001.
