Diane Robinson

Diane A. Robinson, age 74, of New Market, Indiana, formerly of Willmar, died Wednesday morning, January 30, at Brownsburg Health Care Center in Brownsburg, Indiana, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Tuesday, February 5, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. Interment will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. (www.petersonbrothers.com)

Diane Annette Robinson was born on January 15, 1939, in Willmar, the daughter of Myron and Ruth (Skoglund) Johnson. She grew up in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1957. On November 7, 1959, in Willmar, she was united in marriage to Charles Dennis Robinson. Her husband's career with the US Air Force required many moves. She received her teachers training in Texas and Colorado and taught preschool for Children's World in Dallas, Texas and Colorado Springs, Colorado. In 1978, they moved to New London and Diane was employed at Glen Oaks Care Center as a nurse's aide. In 1982, they returned to Dallas, Texas and in 2005, they moved to Crawfordsville, Indiana to be closer to family. Diane was a devoted wife and homemaker. She enjoyed crafts and gardening.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Robinson of New Market, IN; three children, Scott Robinson of Crawfordsville, IN, Kim (and Doug) Monson of New London and Bret Robinson of Bruceville, IN; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Carole (and Wendall) Kallevig of Kandiyohi and one brother, Jimmy Johnson of Cold Spring, besides other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sandi Johnson.
