Donna Wold

Donna Wold, age 81, of Willmar, died Friday morning, October 2, at Bethesda PleasantView Nursing Home in Willmar.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, October 5, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar with visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar.

Donna was born July 22, 1934, in Willmar, Minnesota, the daughter of Russell and Gladys (Christenson) Otterness. She grew up and received her education in Willmar. She married Miles Wold and ten children were born to this union. They later divorced. Donna worked as the manager of the Super 8 Motel in Mason City, IA for many years and later at K-Mart in Willmar. She enjoyed flower gardening and crocheting and loved her dogs.

She is survived by eight children, Donald (and Paulina) Wold of Belgrade, Michael (and Susan) Wold of Willmar, Dennis (and Nancy) Wold of Montevideo, Bruce (and Rhonda) Wold of Little Rock, AR, Steven (and Jolene) Wold of Willmar, Debra Susan Matilla of Long Prairie, Jeffrey (and Cindy) Wold of Liberty, MO, and Danny (and Charlotte) Wold of Belgrade; 21 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Otterness of Willmar; an aunt, Hazel Allen of Willmar; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Caroline Wold in 1952 and Douglas Wold in 1986; a brother, Bobby; and two sisters, LaVonne and Vivian.
