Doris Radabaugh

Doris "Dorrie" Radabaugh, 76, of New London, died Wednesday, March 13, at her home in Glen Oaks Apartments in New London.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday, March 16, at the Church of Our Lady of the Lakes in rural Spicer. The interment will be in the Spicer City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM Friday at Peterson Brothers Green Lake Funeral Home in Spicer and one hour prior to the service at the church. (www.petersonbrothers.com)

Doris Helen Radabough was born January 30, 1937 in Victoria, Minnesota, the daughter of Bernard and Hilda (Schneider) Wartman. She was the youngest of 6 children. Dorrie started grade school in Victoria. After the 8th grade she went to Guardian Angels High School in Chaska where she met Ron Borka. She graduated Guardian Angels in 1955 and married Ron in July 1958. She worked for the bank in Victoria. Between the years of 1959 and 1967 she had five children. In 1972, Ron and Doris bought a Rondo's Resort in Spicer requiring a move. In 1979 she became Auxillary president of the VFW Post 1639 in Willmar. In 1986, Doris and Ron divorced and in 1989 she married Roger Radabaugh. They resided in Willmar until his death in 2002. Doris retired from Rice Memorial Hospital in 2000 and in 2003 moved to New London. Doris was an active member of the VFW, Elks Clubs and Spicer Legion Post 545.

She is survived by her five children: Mary (and Brian) Frye of Cushing, Iowa, Connie (and Myron Imholte) Peterson of Glenwood, Lori (and Hector) Holguin of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Eugene (and Jolene) Borka of New London and Chad (and Lisa) Borka of Atwater. Also surviving are eight stepchildren: John (and Pat) Radabaugh of Willmar, David (and Betty) Radabaugh of Willmar, Cathy (and Steve) Strom of Willmar, Jim (and Linda) Radabaugh of Spicer, Mark(Leslie) Radabaugh of Spicer, Mary (John) Pelkey of Duluth, Charlie (Kim) Radabaugh of Seattle, Washington and Carol (and Roger) Tatge of Willmar; 39 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; her brother: Phabe (and Rita) Wartman of Excelsior; her sisters: Eleanor Wartman of Hopkins and Mary Moore of Victoria; besides other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Roger Radabaugh; two brothers: Richard and Eugene "Euch" Wartman; son-in-law: Rick Peterson; brother-in-law: George Moore; sister-in-law: Barb Wartman, step-granddaughter: Stacie Jones; her best friend: Jake Koetje; and ex-husband: Ron Borka.
