Dorothy Mae Fleming, age 74, of New London and formerly of Spicer, died Friday morning, Jan. 23, at Glen Oaks Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Faith Lutheran Church in Spicer. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at a later date at the Dry Creek Cemetery in Pepin, Wisconsin. Funeral arrangements are with the Green Lake Funeral Home in Spicer.
Dorothy was born on December 8, 1934, in Dawson, Minnesota, the daughter of James and Carrie (Jahnke) Fleming. She grew up and received her education in Dawson and Northfield. Since 1972, Dorothy has resided in Spicer at various assisted care homes and been employed for over 35 years with West Central Industries.
She is survived by her sister, Betty Pippitt of Nampa, Idaho; special friend, Anne Miller of Willmar; and her beloved dog, Cocoa, besides other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, James C. Fleming III and two brother-in-laws, Lavern Haney and Wallace Pippitt.
