Edward V. Miller, age 67, of Willmar, died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday afternoon, April 10, in Willmar.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, April 13, at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar with Fr. Joseph Steinbeisser and Fr. John Miller officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 P.M. Thursday with Parish Prayers at 7:30 P.M. at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and will continue one hour prior to the mass at the church.
Edward Vincent Miller was born March 7, 1940, in Little Falls, Minnesota, the son of Andrew and Mathilda (Kroll) Miller. He received his education at Crosier Seminary and High School in Onamia. He attended DePaul University in Chicago, graduating with a degree in nursing. On July 11, 1964, he married Jacqueline Wolf in Detroit Lakes. He was employed as an anesthetist at hospitals in Thief River Falls, Breckenridge and most recently at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, retiring in 1989. Edward was a member of the Church of St. Mary in Willmar. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; five sons, Michael (and Melinda) Miller of Shreveport, Louisiana, Steven Miller of Minneapolis, Chris (and Maria) Miller of St. Michael, Craig Miller of Minneapolis and Edward Miller, Jr. of Minneapolis and four grandchildren, Brian, Kaylee, Joseph and Cecelia. Also surviving are two brothers, Fr. John Miller of Sauk Rapids and Dr. Robert (and Gwen) Miller of Little Falls; two sisters, Mary (and Vern) Gerding of Plymouth and Jane (and Gary) Gillingham of Prior Lake and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Debbie and his twin brother in infancy.
