Eldon A. Erickson, age 64, of Willmar, died Sunday, September 17, from injuries received in an accident.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, September 22, at First Baptist Church in Willmar. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar. There will be no reviewal.
Eldon Alfred Erickson was born November 19, 1941, in Willmar, the son of Courtney and Evelyn (Hill) Erickson. He grew up in the rural Willmar community and received his education at District 57 School and later at Willmar High School, graduating in 1961. He worked with his father on the family farm. Following his father's death, he moved to Willmar with his mother and worked as a custodian at Affiliated Community Medical Centers and also at Molenaar Inc. He currently operated a lawn service and also worked at Walt's. Eldon was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, where he served as an usher and participated in Bible studies. He was also involved in Life After Fifty-Five.
He is survived by two brothers, James (and Karen) Erickson and John (and Sandy) Erickson, both of Willmar; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father in 1966 and his mother in 2000.
