Ellsworth Scheeler

January 25, 1943 — July 30, 2008

Ellsworth F. Scheeler, age 65, of Raymond, died Wednesday evening, July 30th, at the Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar following an extended illness.
Memorial services will be held at 2 P.M., Monday, August 4, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Raymond with Rev. Allan L. Bjorklund officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are with the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Willmar.
Ellsworth Frederick Scheeler was born on January 25, 1943, in Dickenson, North Dakota, the son of Barbara Ann (Korang) and Raymond John Scheeler. He moved with his family to Hillman, Minnesota and then to Swanville, Minnesota. There he grew up and completed his education. In 1969, he was married to Barbara Valerie Stewart. They lived in various places in central Minnesota and moved to Raymond in 1987, where Ellsworth has lived since. He worked for over 20 years for Prinsburg Service Oil Company. He retired in 2004 because of poor health. Ellsworth enjoyed fishing and gardening and he loved being with family and friends, especially the young ones. He loved to baby sit the kids and tell them stories.
He is survived by one son, Nick Scheeler of Raymond and one daughter, Kristina (and Kurt) Garberich. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Yalanda Cooley, Aundrea Cooley, Quentin Cooley and Brennon Cooley and one brother, Morrie (and Helen) Scheeler of Coon Rapids, besides other relatives and friends. Ellsworth was preceded in death by his parents, wife (Barbara in 2003), 1 grandson (Aarron in 1993), one brother (Raymond Scheeler) and two sisters (Vera Gessell and Joyce Miller).
