Elvira deAlba-Escoto

Elvira de Alba-Escoto, age 90, of Willmar, died Sunday afternoon, Dec.8, at Carris Health Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 16, at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.  www.petersonbrothers.com

Elvira de Alba-Escoto was born on May 6, 1929, in Acatic, Jalisco, Mexico, the daughter of Jesus and Ramona (Escoto) de Alba.  She grew up in Mexico and in 1965 moved to Texas.  In 1991, she moved to Willmar.  Elvira had a strong Catholic faith.  She enjoyed cooking and being with family.  She always had a positive attitude and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by eight children, Jesus, Jose, Pablo, Bertha, Emma, Jobita, Maria and Ramona; 30+ grandchildren; 30+ great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Francisco; one daughter, Maria; one brother, Jose and one sister, Virginia.
