Gary Ristow

Gary Paul Ristow, age 59, of Willmar, died Wednesday morning, August 8, at the St. Cloud Hospital following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 10, at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.

Gary was born on April 15, 1948, in San Francisco, California, the son of Kenneth P. and Fern C.E. (Peterson) Ristow. He grew up in San Francisco, was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and gradauted from Lowell High School in 1966. He received a degree in chemistry at San Francisco State University in 1971. He moved with his family to Willmar, Minnesota in 1972. Gary was employed at various jobs due to health reasons. He was a member of the Wissota Train Club. Gary enjoyed trains, music, photography, watching movies and reading.

He is survived by his mother, Fern of Willmar, besides other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth in 1969 and a sister in infancy.
