Gladys I. Wildeboer, age 96, of Benson, died Monday afternoon, April 25, at the Golden Living Center in Benson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 28, at the Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ in Benson. Interment will be in the Benson City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ Memorial Fund are preferred. Gladys I. Wildeboer was born on October 7, 1919, in Kensal, North Dakota, the daughter of Samuel and Mary (Wayne) Atchison. She grew up in the Benson area, was baptized at West Zion Church, confirmed at St. Pauli Church in Swift Falls and received her education in the Benson schools. On December 30, 1938, Gladys was united in marriage to Dan Wildeboer and they made their home in the Benson community. She was a homemaker and also employed at Ben Franklin in Benson for over 32 years. Gladys was a member of the United Church of Christ in Benson. Gladys belonged to the Pilgrim Sewing Club, Priscilla Circle and Fellowship and the Six Mile Grove Birthday Club. Her hobbies included, sewing, baking, gardening and crocheting.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna (and Eugene) Perrault of Virginia, Minnesota; one granddaughter, Vallana Perrault of Minneapolis and one sister, Alice Loen of Starbuck; besides other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dan in 2005; one grandson, Monty Todd Perrault; three brothers, Arnold, Leo and Raymond Atchison; and four sisters, Jessie Todd, June Olson, Marion Clark and Grace Hilden.
