Glen Parson

Glen L. "Speed" Parson, age 80, of Willmar, died Monday afternoon, November 13th, at the Meeker County Memorial Hospital in Litchfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, November 16th, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar with Rev. Sandra Hanawalt officiating. The interment will be in the Svea Lutheran Cemetery in Svea. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are with the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home.
Glen Lee Parson was born on January 3, 1926, in Whitefield Township, Kandiyohi County, near Svea. He grew up in the Svea area, was baptized at Svea Lutheran Church and attended the District 55 School. He moved to the Faribault area and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith there. Glen returned to the Willmar area in 1963. On October 1, 1964, he began work for the City of Willmar at the police department until his retirement in 1992. Glen was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, a former member of the Willmar Eagles Club and a volunteer at the Infinia Care Center.
He is survived by several cousins and other relatives and friends. Glen was preceded in death by his parents and a half brother, Roger Willen.
