Gloria Cuka

Gloria Cuka, age 63, of Willmar, died Saturday morning, June 6, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, at the Bethesda Heritage Center Chapel in Willmar. Visitation will be 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service and one hour prior to the service at Bethesda. Interment will be at St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery in Wabasso at a later date. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar (www.petersonbrothers.com).

Gloria Jean Cuka was born November 20, 1951, in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Henry and Margaret (Moelter) Jorges. She grew up and received her education in Wabasso, graduating from St. Anne's Catholic High School. She worked at various government jobs in the Twins Cities and Redwood Falls before moving to Willmar in 2008. She then obtained her Associates Degree from Ridgewater College. She worked at Dollar Tree and the Willmar Area Food Shelf. She was an active member of the Church of St. Mary and sang in the church choir. Gloria also loved gardening.

She is survived by her mother, Margaret Jorges of Willmar, MN; uncle, Sy (and Mary Lou) Moelter of New Ulm; aunts, Veronica Stolp of Rochester and Lucille Berdan of Sleepy Eye, several cousins; and her dear friend, Marcia.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Jorges.
