Gloria Mahn

Gloria A. Mahn, age 82, of Atwater, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, August 14, at the Meeker Manor in Litchfield following a long battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 18, at St. John Lutheran Church near Atwater. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John Lutheran Church, Atwater Area Help for Seniors or the Hawk Creek Animal Shelter are preferred. Gloria Mahn was born to Arlie E. & Gladys (Norlund) Sederberg on April 21, 1935 in Branch Township, Chisago County, Minnesota.   She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in North Branch where she was baptized October 4, 1935 and confirmed April 10, 1949.  She graduated from North Branch High School in 1952 and then was employed at Investors Diversified Service (IDS) in Minneapolis from 1952-1977.  On September 24, 1977 in North Branch, Gloria was married to Harold Mahn.  She helped Harold in his Hardware Store until they retired in 1993.  She enjoyed being with family and friends and liked all animals especially her cat "Angel".

She is survived by her cat, Angel; one sister-in-law, Mary Sederberg of North Branch; one nephew, Tom (and Jamie) Sederberg of Blaine and great nephew and niece, Eli & Maci Sederberg.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews from the Mahn family, other relatives, and many friends from the Atwater community.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 1999; both of her parents in 1972; her brother, Arlie J. Sederberg in 2000; Marvin and Myrtle Mahn, Eldon and Elvera Mahn, Eloise Mattheisen, Cindy Mahn, Lyle Mahn and Lilas Harbarth.
